Issue Papers are intended to provide criminal justice partners and the general public with an overview of specific sentencing provisions under the District’s Sentencing Guidelines. They are released semi-annually, with each release covering a different sentencing provision. The information provided in these papers will hopefully provide readers with a better understanding of the Sentencing Guidelines and how they are utilized within the D.C. Superior Court system.
