Domestic Violence Arrest to Sentencing Trends in the District of Columbia

This Issue Paper focuses on how felony domestic violence (DV) arrests progress through the District of Columbia’s criminal justice system. The data used for the analysis on arrest and sentencing trends is sourced from the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and the D.C. Superior Court (Superior Court).
