The Commission has released a new Past Data Response that evaluates adult felony sentencing trends for individuals who were sentenced between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2019, to a period of 15 years, or more. The data included in this analysis is examined based on the following sentence length categories: 15 to less than 20 years, 20 to less than 25 years, and 25+ years, as well as the following age categories: 16-17 (Juvenile), 18-24 (Youthful), and 25+ (Adult). Note that the age categories represent the individual’s age at offense.
