Ramleen Kaur joined the Sentencing Commission in November 2024 as an IT Specialist, where she plays a vital role in developing, maintaining and optimizing the organization's technology infrastructure. With a strong foundation in Computer Science, Ramleen brings expertise in server management, network security, system maintenance, and data analysis, ensuring the seamless operation of IT systems and the protection of sensitive information.  

A graduate of the University of Maryland, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Ramleen’s academic background provided the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in the fast-paced and ever-evolving field of information technology.  

In her current role at SCDC, she oversees the operation of the Commission’s data system, and management of servers and networks. She plays a key role in system maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting to prevent downtime and improve system efficiency. Her expertise in data gathering and analysis also supports decision-making processes, providing critical insights that guide operational improvements and strategy.   

While working in a constantly changing IT environment, she has developed resilience and adaptability, always staying ahead of emerging technologies to ensure the best outcomes for the Commission.
