Ranking of the New Felony Offense Contained in the Female Genital Mutilation Prohibition Act of 2023

The District of Columbia Sentencing Commission has ranked the new felony offense contained in the “Female Genital Mutilation Prohibition Act of 2023” (also known as “the FGM Act”).

The new offense of Female Genital Mutilation was ranked in Master Group 6. The Court shall apply the ranking to pleas/verdicts entered on or after April 18, 2025.
