Nicholas McGuire joined the D.C. Sentencing Commission staff in April as an Attorney Advisor. Nick, a native Washingtonian, taught statistics before attending Duke University School of Law in 2016. Nick is a former civil litigator who worked extensively with incarcerated clients on issues surrounding the conditions of their confinement. Nick also brings experience from his time at the Federal Public Defender’s office in the Eastern District of Virginia and from the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, where he clerked for Chief Judge Anna Blackburne-Rigsby.
