This document is made to assist individuals in understanding the Sentencing Guidelines. However, it is not intended to be a substitute for explanations from legal counsel. As this is the Commission’s first foreign language translation, the agency welcomes any feedback that may help improve future translations and will continue to work to improve the document. Español: A la Comisión de Imposición de sentencias (Sentencing Commission) le complace publicar su primera traducción del Manual de directrices de imposición de sentencias voluntarias de D.C. (D.C. Sentencing Commission Voluntary Sentencing Guidelines Manual). Este documento fue preparado para ayudar a las personas a comprender las Directrices de imposición de sentencias (Sentencing Guidelines). No obstante, no tiene por objeto sustituir las explicaciones de un asesor legal. Dado que esta constituye la primera traducción de la Comisión a un idioma extranjero, la agencia queda atenta a cualquier aporte que pudiera ayudar a mejorar las traducciones posteriores y se compromete a seguir mejorando el documento. Spanish translation of the D.C. Voluntary Sentencing Guidelines Manual

English:Please note that the Spanish translation of the Guidelines Manual is published as an aid to allow increased access to the Sentencing Guidelines. Only the English version of the Guidelines Manual contains the official Sentencing Guidelines’ rules as approved by the D.C. Sentencing Commission. If there are any discrepancies between the English and Spanish versions, the English version shall control.  

Español: Tenga presente que la traducción al español del Manual de directrices se publica para facilitar e incrementar el acceso a las Directrices de imposición de sentencia. Solo la versión en inglés del Manual de directrices contiene las reglas oficiales concernientes a las Directrices de imposición de sentencia según lo aprobado por la Comisión de imposición de sentencia del Distrito de Columbia. Si hay discrepancias entre las versiones en inglés y español, prevalecerá la versión en inglés.
